Modafinil
Modafinil, developed in the 1980s, is a cognitive enhancer that is particularly useful for promoting wakefulness. It fights fatigue and improves energy, motivation, mood and memory. We still don’t fully understand the whole host of mechanisms by which modafinil works, but we do know that it alters the levels of a range of neurotransmitters.
